PROPOSED TRIP DATES FOR 2009 AND 2010:

  January 16 - February 3, 2010

  May 20 - June 6, 2010

  July 22 - August 8, 2010

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to experience life in a third-world country?  Participation in a STEMM Mission Trip will provide a cultural and enriching expierence that is guaranteed to be "life-changing" and unforgettable!

The culture is vastly different from anything that we consider normal in the USA.  The people are remarkable in that they are so friendly, courteous, gracious, and genuinely appreciative of any assistance that you offer them.  You will witness people that have very little material possessions, barely a roof to cover their heads, and children who have nowhere to call home - the poverty is unbelievable.  Yet, they have a way of offering us so much more than we feel we have to give.

You will experience the beauty of Africa by going on safari.  You will see the awesomeness of God's creation at such sites as Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, and beautiful Lake Manyara National Park.

The trip is based in Arusha, Tanzania and the accomodations are very comfortable.  Trip projects and activities are based mainly in the Arusha area.

It is a two-day trip to get to Kilimanjaro airport - our destination in Africa.  Please bring an open mind and leave your agenda's at home.  Time is unimportant in Africa, so our "western minds" need to adjust.  Flexibility is key - plans are always subject to change.

Prior to departure, we hold one or two trip meeting.  It is at these meetings that you will be informed of details about the Tanzanian culture and will be given information that will help you prepare for your journey.  It is good to learn as much as you can about the country, culture, and people prior to your visit.  Our main job is to remember that we are the "hands and feet" of Jesus and that we are guests in a foreign country.  Our love and respect for the people and the culture need to be reflected in all that we do and say.

If you want to participate on a trip, please download a copy of the trip packet.  Please complete the application form and mail it to:
