Our
Organization S.T.E.M.M., or the Siouxland Tanzania Educational and Medical Ministries was formed by Dr. Steve Meyer in February of 1997 after his return home from a mission trip to Tanzania, East Africa with a group from Morningside Lutheran Church in the summer of 1996. It became apparent to Dr. Meyer that the priority needs of the Tanzanians were spiritual, medical and educational. Since then, STEMM has made trips to Tanzania twice a year with each trip lasting approximately two and a half weeks. We feel that this offering of short-term mission work provides a unique opportunity for a broader base of participants. Mission Our primary goal is to follow the examples of Christ our Lord, ministering to peoples' needs medically, educationally, and spiritually. In doing so we hope to build a bridge between the people of Tanzania and Siouxland.
